FAQ

Questions, answered.

What types of air tours do you offer?

Scenic airplane tours over Austin and the Texas Hill Country — Lake Travis, Lake Austin, the Colorado River, downtown Austin and more — plus private Big Bend flights from Lajitas.

How long do the tours last?

From 30-minute quick flights over downtown Austin to 90-minute flights across the Hill Country, and custom charters beyond that.

Can I have the plane to myself?

Yes. Every Twin Commander tour is private: the price is for the aircraft, so it splits across your party — as little as $258 per person with 5 passengers on a 60-minute tour.

Where do we depart from?

The Berry Terminal at San Marcos Regional Airport (KHYI), or the Million Air Terminal at Austin-Bergstrom for an additional $75 with 48 hours’ notice. Big Bend tours depart Lajitas International Airport.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

7 or more days before your tour date: full refund. More than 48 hours before: 50% refund. Within 48 hours: no refund. Weather or maintenance cancellations are rescheduled at no cost, or fully refunded.

Are there any age or health restrictions?

Most flights welcome passengers of all ages; children under two sit on a guardian’s lap. Guests with certain medical conditions should consult their doctor before flying.

Is there a weight limit?

Individual passenger weights are required at booking. Limits vary by aircraft and tour, and passengers over a certain weight may need to purchase an additional seat.

What should I bring?

Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Sunglasses and cameras are encouraged; large bags and loose items may not be permitted onboard.

What happens in bad weather?

Safety comes first. If conditions are unsafe, we reschedule at no extra cost — or issue a full refund if rescheduling isn’t possible.

Do you offer private or custom tours?

Yes — proposals, anniversaries, birthdays and corporate events. Book the Love Bird Tour, or contact us to design a custom route.
